Abstract 

 

The protein glycoconjugates have been extracted from mastic gum var. chia, preliminary identified and antibodies raised against them. In addition, the gene of the

strong antigenic membrane protein HPNAP from Helicobacter pylori has been cloned

in pET 11a and p-GEX vectors, over expressed heterologous in BL2 E.coli cells and

purified in high amount. Its ability to interact with the isolated glycoforms of the

mastic gum is under investigation.
